The last day of school was a strange one. During the first block Cold War party, it started to snow. Happy vernal equinox, one and all... It stopped after a few minutes, naturally. Its been a bad year for snow. The stuff doesn't seem to understand that its supposed to show up on Mondays, not Fridays, and frequently, not twice the entire season. Then, during last block, while my class was watching Shrek in Spanish, the school went into lockdown due to an incident with narcotics and random tardy sweeps. There was a tornado drill on Wednesday, in which my English class wound up in the extremely safe library, crunched together, our backs to the tall shelves of hardcover books. Better than last year, when they had us sitting between rows of lockers... There was a fire drill the next day, during Drea and Jenka's TOK presentation on allocation of resources. They were in the midst of showing off exactly what can happen when two OCD people pair up for a project and I was in juggling water bottles, light bulbs, and a coconut cupcake while pretending to be Saudi Arabia. It was a good cupcake. Drea (Saint Bride #2) has troubles of her own, involving intestinal ulcers. Have to hand it to her for hanging onto the academic side of things. I doubt I'd ever make that much of an effort. The English prof has been more absentminded than usual. For some reason, she thought everyone in the class had been born in the 70s. Sorry, wrong decade. The oldest one in the class was Keene, at nineteen; I don't know who it is now. Keene's gone. Moved out, moved in, moved out, moved in, got sick, moved away. She's been enrolled elsewhere after uncharacteristically vanishing without so much as a ripple. I stepped off the bus wrapped up in my own inane thoughts and didn't notice the little Gorgon until he appeared in the hallway directly in front of me and grunted, "Hi." My response was to emit a scream worthy of Meg Giry that left the boy blinking and rubbing his ears. I laughed, apologized, and went upstairs, where I've been for quite a while now. Keep having a dream about Harrison Ford and the Emperor Tiberius running a gas station. Scary. It occurs to me that this thing really needs a new layout, seeing as the anemones have wilted. I've been a bit more of a dunce than usual lately. However, I leave for Maastricht on Wednesday, which is nice to think about. There's been a lot going on, but I'm too lazy and such to write about it. Time to go think some more, then. Adieu.
