carnation, lily, lily, rose

I watched most of the Golden Globes last night and as a result had the honor of listening to the little Gorgon's claim that Oliver Cromwell was hosting the show and Medusa's claim that its perfectly fine for Sarah Jessica Parker to wear either a big hairbow or a big necklace, but never both at once (the result of an upcoming history exam and twelve year's in NR's accessories department, respectively). Harrison Ford was awarded, which was nice, and Leelee Sobieski was not, which was relieving. Nicole Kidman was gracious and a bit emptyheaded (must've been the bleach), Ben Affleck was monotonous, Cameron Diaz looked ready for the beach, and all manner of things occurred, most of which escape my mind at the moment.

History midterm tomorrow, which shouldn't be that bad, since all it consists of is writing two essays. As for math... I don't have it until Thursday and I'm already apprehensive. That isn't saying much, seeing as I've been apprehensive since September, but even so... It didn't help that I decided to take a leaf out of Mao's book and consult a Magic 8-Ball as to the outcome of the exam, which I really shouldn't have done. Suffice it to say that I seriously hope I have a defective 8-Ball (though it isn't even an 8-Ball, really, just a transparent sphere of rubber full of glitter and an answer cube; maybe that's the problem). Considering the answers Mao's 8-Ball usually gives her, it was a rather stupid thing to do anyway.

That said, go read Mam'selle Echo's latest entry, because I like it and I said so, and my very extended study break is drawing to a close.

Good luck on exams to all who are facing them this week. Be brave, comrades.

Adieu.
