It does take a little while to fully wake up, though, especially when one hasn't slept during the night. As soon as I set foot on the bus, the old comatose state set in and, until I received an accidental pinch on the eyelid, and the driver decided to take a detour on a very dark road with a generous smattering of sharp turns, it stayed there. It probably helped that most of the bus bunch was idly wondering if we were being kidnapped, and the driver's skillful maneuvering of one such turn literally sent Susannah and I flying across the aisle. And that, thus far, has been the highlight of my day. I talked to the orch prof, who said I'm way too hard on myself and that its too bad I never took private lessons. One of only a handful of the chamber crew who hasn't, apparantly. Shame. A herd of dramamates headed off to celebrate everything and nothing; maybe I'll go see The Count of Monte Cristo and celebrate my not being able to join them. Shouldn't be all bad, so its said. Besides, exams are over and its a four-and-a-half day weekend. That calls for something. Adieu.
