crystalized honeydrops

It was snowing when I woke up at nine and it hasn't let up yet. Finally, the weatherman's predictions prove themselves accurate. Shame they decided to do their proving right after midterm review and right before the actual midterms, but beggars can't be choosers. Hopefully, it'll let up by this evening and I'll still be able to make it to Hortensio's. Gibbs and I decided yesterday that it would be very interesting indeed if we were all snowed in at his house, and proceeded to formulate a murder mystery in which Gilberte kills Hostess. Or something.

I went outside and walked around for a little while, then decided to go put on some actual shoes.

The orch prof is nuts, but that's nothing new. She decided to have Fleur and I switch places, which means I am now a second violin and Fleur is a first. This also means I have an actual stand partner and am expected to actually share a stand with someone else; Fleur's inherited the single stand position. And it also means we have to learn each other's parts, as opposed to the ones we've been playing all year, for the midterm. Bleh. On the other hand, I've taken to sitting with Engh-Anh, and, when he shows up to bang on the piano, talking to Misha, which is entertaining.

Oh my. The little Gorgon just wandered by, looked out the window, and exclaimed, "Down with the beehives and that fat hog Louis XVIII!" Now he's singing POTO parodies. I'm not sure whether this should be deemed a success or a failure on my part...

Snowing harder now. This is a good thing. I wonder how the hill in the backyard is doing... So I'm seventeen years old and I like to play in the snow. Shoot me.

"I am eleventy-one, and there's nothing you girls can do about it." -- the little Gorgon. Its amazing how he never seems to notice what comes out of his mouth while he's playing War Craft II... now he's moved on to Peter Pan ("Well, Mister Smee, I believe we have a few conflicts here."). Eccentricity runs in the family, I suppose.

Adieu.
