The school was planning to put on Anything Goes as the traditional spring musical, but it was canceled due to conflicting exams. Then, a couple weeks later, it was resurrected. Understandably, a large chunk of the cast failed to be resurrected with it, leaving the performance without several minor characters. So auditions were held for a second time in order to fill the vacancies.

After doing three one acts simultaneously, I swore I was through with drama for the year. Oops.

So I auditioned and wound up being cast as the bishop, which suited me fine, gender-bending notwithstanding. Then it was revealed that, since I don't appear after the first few scenes, I was to be resurrected as well-- as a passenger, complete with singing and dancing.

So that's where I've been, in the unlikely case anyone was wondering. I've been attempting to learn fifteen songs and dances at once during the two rehearsals there have been so far. As of now, I know three, more or less, one of which I belatedly realized I won't be able to participate in unless I can undergo a costume change in about thirty seconds. However, I now know all manner of lyrics, choreography, and lewd jokes pertaining to "Blow, Gabriel, Blow," and am convinced that poor Gabe is ready to hand in his trumpet and retire.

And then there's the 'Speare Fest in about a month. While killing time after rehearsal, Gilberte and I decided to do a scene together, though exactly what its going to be hasn't been established yet. At any rate, it ought to be better than last year's Twelfth Night mess.

And then there are IB exams, fun things (last on the list, of course). The first chunk of the English one is on Thursday, so I should head off and peruse my notes. At some point, anyway.

Adieu.
